Mikaela Baldos: The Truth About The Issue

Mikaela Caballero Baldos, a 19 year old student from University of Sto Tomas (UST)

has recently went viral due to her numerous leaked video scandal. Netizens have

different reactions regarding the issue but most of them degrades the young

lady for such actions.

The videos were said to be made by Mikaela herself and sent to her boyfriend,

Jasper de Guzman who was allegedly accused for leaking the private videos.

According to some sources there was a hacker in Mikaela's account that was

responsible for leaking the videos online sent through messenger.

According to a YouTube video posted by a youtuber by the username of

Master Jeremiah he was privately messaged by a person who claims to be a

family member (cousin) of Mikaela that requested to delete his previous video

that contains false information that was given by posers and gave a clearer

statement regarding the issue of Mikaela.

"Hi, I'm a cousin of Mikaela Baldos. Please stop spreading the fake news.

The information that you used in the video are from the posers. Lahat ng

accounts po na 'Michaela' are mga posers. Tunay nyang name is Mikaela. Alam

po ng pamilya namin na maganda intention niyo, we just want to let you know

to please delete the video you uploaded or to make a video debunking the

fake news. Hindi boyfriend nya ang nagkalat. Sila parin hanggang ngayon.

VIctim din po ang boyfriend niya. Nahack po and account nila. Opo nagkamali

sila pero hindi nakakatulong ang mga fake news na to. Ang kailangan mabash

ay yung mga posers na 'Michaela. These are the Tweets of Mikaela from her

account on twitter. Wala po siyang facebook account ngayon."

alongside with a few pictures to prove the credibility of the said statements,

she proceeded to add a few photos with Mikaela but requested to blur the

rest of the family for security purposes:

Mikaela experienced bullying through social media, numerous fake accounts

were created all over the internet. Some accounts were made to support Mikaela

but some made it to gain popularity by posting fake statements. As the popularity

of the said scandal widens, the young lady refuses to get out of her room because

of shame and regrets.Hope this matter serves as a lesson that social media is so

powerful it can literally either build you to be a better person or totally

destroy you.
